Associazione San Giorgio Martire di Sydney is a not-for-profit organisation established in 1977 by a devoted group of migrants who sought to maintain and foster their religious and cultural traditions.
Over the years, the Association has hosted numerous functions and events, including a very successful annual festival of San Giorgio, for the benefit of the local and wider community. This festival aims to promote the maintenance of Italian traditions, cultural and religious activities amongst people of Italian heritage and the wider community.
I am proud to be working with the San Giorgio Association to fight for the construction of the community center which will provide a place for the community to gather. The upgrade will include a function room and kitchen so that members of the community can host events.
