Greenway Park Sportshouse is finally here!

This is a long-awaited hub for our sporting codes and for the community. It is an incredible community project.

Federal Member for Berowra Julian Leeser MP said the project, which is now complete, is a culmination of the work of so many people across six sporting codes in our community coming together to make this project happen.

“This project started in 2016 when Phil Hare and Bob Wray approached me about funding for a much-needed new clubhouse for a range of sports in Cherrybrook.”

“The sporting codes who call Greenway Park home, got their heads together to envision a new clubhouse that could serve the whole community.”

Julian Leeser MP brought the Minister for Finance, the Minister for Infrastructure, Minister for Sport and Assistant Treasurer to Cherrybrook to see Greenway Park and to hear from the community themselves, securing $2.7 million to resurface the top oval and for the construction of the sportshouse.

The sportshouse is now home to the Pennant Hills Demons AFL Club, Westbrook Junior AFL Club, Cherrybrook Senior and Little Athletics, West Pennant Hills Cherrybrook Cricket Club, Greenway Giants Baseball and Softball Club, Pennant Hills-Cherrybrook Stags Rugby League Club and Cherrybrook United Netball Club.

“The sportshouse is a testament to the community working together and it will become an important gathering place not only for the clubs on game days but for people living in the broader Cherrybrook area.”
