Children at Beecroft Public School have a new outdoor play spaces thanks to a Federal Government grant Julian Leeser MP has secured for the Beecroft Public School’s Parents and Citizen’s Association.

Mr Leeser’s $10,500 contribution for outdoor space has enabled the development of a main thoroughfare which has previously been underdeveloped and under-utilised. The updated space has been beautifully designed to hold events and facilitate outdoor activities.

“Beecroft Public School is a fantastic local school. They provide a quality education with great teachers and it is clear that parents are also investing their time in making the school an enjoyable and positive place to be,” Mr Leeser said.

“The outdoor space will make a big difference to the daily life and activity of hundreds of school children. I am sure many great memories will form at this play area,” Mr Leeser said.

Beecroft Public School P&C Secretary, Melannie Hogan, thanked Mr Leeser for the contribution.

“This new space is a great example of the combined efforts of many and how those efforts can build community within our school. An even bigger bonus was being lucky enough to get support for the play space through the Stronger Communities Programme, with a familiar local face helping us cut the ribbon today.”

The $10,500 grant was provided by Mr Leeser as part of the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Program, which allocates $150,000 to each electorate for projects that create vibrant and viable communities.
