News is out today that during summer, plans were in place for evacuating extensive parts of our #Berowra electorate because of the threat of the Gospers Mountain fire.

Places like Hornsby RSL club were on standby to act as an evacuation centre.
This article is a reminder of the extraordinary work of our RFS. Many heroes from our community did amazing work over the summer.
The article is also a reminder of why I am fighting so hard to see telecommunications in our area improved.
People living in outer-metropolitan areas like ours can be at serious risk in emergency situations. They need to know they can communicate, access information and receive warning messages. Too many lives are at stake.
